Triton City Entertainment Partners with Anthony Macbain, Former Rockstar Games Director of Illustration

Triton City Entertainment Partners With 13-Year Veteran Rockstar Games Director of Illustration and Artist, Anthony Macbain, Announced by TCE CEO, Dirk Hoogstra.

Dirk Hoogstra, former EVP/GM of History, brings in a new partner to his recently launched venture, Triton City Entertainment. Former Rockstar Games Director of Illustration, Anthony Macbain, joins the company as Director of Illustration. 

Macbain spent 13 years at Rockstar Games starting as an illustrator and ultimately leading a team of artists to work on marketing art and character development for the company’s biggest franchises including Grand Theft Auto. GTA V is reported to be the fastest-selling entertainment product in history, earning US $1 billion in its first three days of release. 

Hoogstra made the announcement saying, “I’m so thrilled to have Anthony join Triton City. We’re bringing entire worlds to life and building franchises from the ground up. We’re incredibly fortunate to have someone as creative and experienced as Anthony to define the visual experience of our platform.”

Macbain will work closely with previously announced Art Director and GM, Paul Weil. “I’ve known both Anthony and Dirk separately for a long time, and I could not be more excited to bring them together. This is the perfect combination of industry experience and artistic talent that will take Triton City anywhere we can imagine.”

Triton City Entertainment will create Intellectual Property in sci-fi/fantasy and animation that is specifically designed to become original TV and Feature Film franchises. The stories will come to life on a digital platform—tritoncityent.com.

Macbain recently completed his first wave of concept art for Triton City which is premiering on Deadline Hollywood. The artwork features the main characters from their first story, Dawn of the Paladin.
